Feed the People Weekend (Recap)

Last month we held two local shows: Conscious Kulturez and Conscious Styles featuring Scope Artists and fam as a benefit / fundraiser for Occupy the Hood Boston‘s Feed the Hood and Fill Your Fridge Programs. Over the course of the 2 nights we raised a total of $600 and 2 boxes of canned goods. The following weekend we joined with the Blackstonian, Voices of Liberation, FTP Movement, United Sistas of Color and members of the Charles St. AME church for the 4th Annual National/International Feed the People Weekend. Using the funds we raised, we served over 300 meals directly to homeless and hungry people and stocked shelters and family fridges with 500 lbs. of food.
