After a lot of procrastination and multi-tasking on our end, the first of the Scope Summer 2012 Collection is ready. Why the delay? We have needed all hands on deck to promote this Last Poets Show we have going down this week Saturday June 16 at Hibernian Hall. It will be a historic night for Boston so get your tickets while you can!
But back to the topic at hand. The first part of Summer 2012 consists of the “Louder Than Words” Collection which is an extensive collaboration with Voices of Liberation and another collab with one of our Scope Artists, Sweatshop. You can find all of these products and more in the Scope Store. We shot the lookbook with Sofija V. in Downtown Boston and Von Marie of BeeCaptured Photography handled the studio product shots. Both shoots were a lot of fun and featured a great cast of models including many scope artists. Shout out Cassius the 5th, Catch Wreck, Rey Leon, Sweatshop, OverTime Often, True East Ent. and MeTaL. We also had guest appearances by Beans of DWC and Miss JayDee of Beats Rhymes and Life. You can find behind the scenes photos on the Scope Facebook Page.
The “Louder than Words” collection features graphic tees depicting inspirational revolutionaries like Assata Shakur and Lolita Lebron paired with powerful quotes: messages of resistance and empowerment and symbols of a heritage of struggle. Find more about that in the official “Louder Than Words” Press Release.
We also introduced Scope Kids – tees in infant and toddler sizes for the next generation of revolutionaries.
The Sweatshop Artist Collab features an adapted version of the record-spinning-seweing-machine Sweatshop logo and is the first official band shirt we have made.
