#ScopeMusic Artist Rey Leon has been working on his ‘Pledge LP‘ for over a year and two tours of combat serving in the Army Infantry in Afghanistan. This full length follow up to his ‘Pledge EP’ features Apollo, J.C.I.T.Y., Midie, Mike Anthonii, B&B, Damilleo Stacks, Clutch, EK and fellow Scope Artists Spenda of Retrospek and Illy Sav. Catch Wreck also makes an appearance on the outro, talking about how he first met Rey Leon when we organized 10,000 Strong Boston with the Blackstonian and Voices of Liberation.
The 16 track project is a big step from the EP and in many ways finishes what was started on that tape. There are already videos for the singles Niglette, Let’s Be Real, Classic, Hands & Knees, Street Resurgence and the title track The Pledge and we can expect one more soon. Rey Leon has also been cooking up new material since he’s been state-side and has stuff in the works with a lot of the Scope Music fam.
